As November starts our users are greeted with something new in their month summary: Spending Stripes! Spending Stripes are simple: each stripe represents a day, and the color shows your spending “health.” The more red you have, the more you spent beyond your Paktol position. The greener it is, the better you are managing your budget.
A Comfortable Month: My September 2024
September 2024 was a typical comfortable month for me. Starting the month at $0, you can see stripes getting greener until the middle of the month where I attended a friend’s wedding. Note that weddings are surprisingly expensive 🥹.
A Harder Month: August 2023
August 2023 was tougher for me because I went on vacation to my hometown of Belhade, Landes, France. The Spending Stripes for August show more red days, indicating higher spending during this period. I overspent that month, but it’s okay—s*** happen ðŸ˜.
How to See Your Spending Stripes
When you start a new month, you get a summary of last month’s spending directly in your budget. You can also view your Spending Stripes history by tapping or clicking on the piggy-bank icon in the top-left corner of the Paktol app. We hope you find this feature useful!
